Quick Update

Wow... I'm so horrible at this! I thought I'd be more organized about doing one of these, but I guess I proved myself wrong.
Weston is six months old today. It doesn't feel like he should be that old. As I was sitting here at work, waiting for Jesse to come pick him up, Weston was just chilling on my lap. I decided to see how well he was sitting and he sat, without my arms, for a full 13 seconds!! I was in shock! I knew he was getting better at it, but I had no idea he was that far with it! He's getting too smart these days. When I was getting ready for work today, he was sitting in his swing looking at our pitbull (Cage) and I could have sworn he said "doggie". I know for sure that he can say "uh-oh". Of course he'll never say it when you want him to though.
Jesse's doing so good. He's working hard on getting the current house he's building done. Today, they put the tresses on. That was the first time I witnessed them do that. It was pretty scary.
Our relationship has definitely strengthened since we had Weston. The one thing I don't like is that my emotions tend to be right on edge, especially when I'm super tired. Makes things hard on all of us. I'm just glad that we both know what triggers us and when we're upset and all that fun stuff.
As for me, I'm still working at the Resort. Next month, I'll also be working at the gas station. I'm just glad that they love me enough to keep hiring me. I've always had a blast working there.
I really think that's all I can think of to write at the moment. I'll try to get on this more and keep you posted!

Late Bloomer

I'm so bad at this! I'm so sorry.
Life is very interesting. There is just so much to do lately. I'm trying to get as much planning of the wedding as I can now so that I won't be a total lunatic when the day comes. So far, I've arranged the pictures, Shalise is doing the Flowers, and my good friend Brandi is doing my hair - God bless her.
Weston is growing so much. He's been getting in fights with his little toys and throws them EVERYWHERE! I thought for sure when he was born, he'd have my eyes. Not once have they been brown. Every once in a while, they'll be green, but for the most part they are an icy blue. He finds entertainment in some of the most random things. This morning he woke up around 4:30 and was just a talking like crazy and making some of the craziest noises ever! One of them I could have sworn sounded like he was barking. Jesse was nice enough to get up and feed him and lay him back down so I could get some sleep. I tend to get really grouchy when he wakes me up earlier than 6.
Jesse is doing super good. Today, he, Rick and I chopped wood together and got it all done in about 5 minutes. I'm so glad that Jesse still has his parents in his life.
When he was younger, (Rick has smoked for about 30 years or so) both of Jesse's parents got hit with cancer. Rick's was lung and Kellie's was brain stem. Kellie is still with us today, but you can still see some changes in her. She has a hard time remembering things. Rick has been battling his cancer for about 15 years now. He has been in remission at least twice. He went though treatments this past January and did awesome. In June, he started feeling, not too well. This time, he's decided not to go with treatments. He's been doing an Herbal remedy instead. The other day, he said to me "Last week I was the Hulk! Now I can't even be Superman no more.." We pray for him and love him dearly.
Jesse's getting excited for hunting season. Last fall, he saw a 6-pt but didn't have his licence at the time. His conscience got the better of him and he didn't shoot it. Now he's saying that I have to take Hunter's Ed. and if he doesn't get anything, he'll use mine and say that I got it. I guess that's kind of a smart idea... For him, atleast.

Since yesterday nine years ago made history, I'd like to say a few of my thoughts.
I was in 5th grade when the WTC and the Pentagon were hit. I really didn't understand it back then, but when I watched several of the programs on the History Channel, it really hit home as to how important that day was.
I was so grateful that I live where I live. Seeing what happened in the eyes of the actual witnesses, made me wonder what Weston is going to have to go through. I truly appreciate my freedom. I know a lot of people bashed on Bush. I firmly believe that he did what he thought was best at the time. Watching those accounts, I agree with him. I do wish, however, that it wouldn't have lasted this long.
Yesterday, 9 years ago, 3,000 people died. Of those, 413 were emergency officials. I admire those who are willing to give their lives for others, regardless of what may happen.
To those that survived, I wish I could ask you what you have done as far as change since that happened.
To those we lost, I know you were brave. I know you were as strong as you could have been at the time. I appreciate all you have done and wish I could give your families a hug. You're amazing.

One Year Later...

As you know, it was Jesse and my's anniversary this past Monday. He couldn't get work off so we celebrated Sunday. No one could watch Weston, so we went to breakfast at Timber's. When we got back, we watch District 9 and played Rummy. Once the game ended, I decided that I needed a nap. I woke up, Jesse decided he needed one. around 4 that evening, we took Weston to Johnny Sack's and he of course slept through the whole thing. Turns out when Jess headed in to work Monday, he didn't have to work. So we just chilled and relaxed at the house. After lunch we went over to "Chuck" and "Charlie"'s and fed Weston some cereal. Later we ate burgers with them and played some Halo.
Sure it wasn't the ideal anniversary celebration, but it worked out awesome considering the situation :)
Last night, I got some amazing news - - Jesse got his contractor's licence yesterday evening. I'm so excited! It will definitely  help us out. If you know of someone looking to build a cabin here in Island Park, get in touch :)

Post Numba 2

So I have two weeks from today to think of something special for Jesse for our one year mark. August 23rd, 2009 was the fatal day that he finally asked me out! It's so crazy to think that it's already been a year. He and I have been through alot and I'm so glad that he and I can settle our differences and realize how stubborn and hard-headed we both truly are.
Weston is growing so big! he's almost ready to move to the next size of diapers now (#2's). He's so special and I'm glad that he brought me and his daddy closer. Jess likes to say that if we didn't have Weston, he doesn't know if he'd love me as much as he does.
Jesse is working hard as always. He does such a good job with the houses he builds and I'm so proud of him.
As for me, I'm now working to jobs. The Clubhouse is very different that's for sure, but it's good to experience new things. The other is just the regular Robin's Roost that I worked at last summer and where I met the love of my life.
Anyway, that's all for now.

My First Post

Today is July 30th, 2010. I've decided to make a blog of my amazing little family.
I met my fiancĂ© a little over a year ago at the local Chevron station. I was working there and my  boss introduced us.  It took Jesse 2 1/2 months to finally ask me out. When he did, I knew something good was going to come out of that. Four dates and a couple drinks later, I was pregnant. We both thought that adoption would be the best option for the time being. All of a sudden, the prospective parents discovered they were pregnant and thought it best to back out. Now we have this beautiful baby boy and are engaged to be married August 23rd 2011.
This blog is just to give my family and friends updates on our family and the itty bitty town with the longest main street in America which we call home.
